AUGUST: Food Plots & Trail Cameras

Hello, everyone! We are under 60 days away from the 2020 Iowa Archery Season opener! Also, we are about 90 days or less from the peak rut! I can't believe how fast this year has gone, but I think most of us can be thankful for such quick passing due to COVID and other things. Deer season is a highlight every year, and I expect nothing less for the 2020 season!

Right now, I have five fall food plots to get done prior to some rain that is approaching. It looks like such will be done between Monday and Wednesday night with some good upcoming rain gaining strength/consistency. I also have some cameras to get out, especially some cell cameras that will be on each of the five plots.

There are a still a couple of farms that need cameras put up, but due to either wetness or crop production, I have been unable to get into the farms yet, but that will be taken care of in the next week or two after plots are done. These farms have monstrous wash-outs that combined with tall crops and bordered weeds, is very dangerous even to walk through. I once fell six feet down into a wash-out trying to get through some thick horseweed. I was lucky enough to not get hurt except for my pride. This has me being very cautious now.

We are updating a few things on our website this week that I would like all 2020 hunters and future hunters to see. All bookings will need to be confirmed through our site once this is complete. You can see the booking page in the website menu. Please take a look at them at your convenience so that you are familiar with them.

We will do another blog update in the coming weeks. I can't wait for this season to get here! It should be a great one!
